We believe in social responsibility, community, helping others, and, of course, running. We're excited to partner with the Denver Rescue Mission and help them as they continue to change the lives of Denver's homeless. Born out of passion and the desire to make a difference, the RiNo 5K runs for the Greater Good.
Hope starts with a second chance.
Denver Rescue Mission's Lawrence Street Shelter is the Mission's most well-known and most recognizable location. It provides emergency care to the poor and homeless and is an entry point for many of the New Life Program participants. Open 365 days a year, the shelter offers 200 beds and up to 100 additional cots during inclement weather. The location includes a clinic and chapel, as well as houses members of the New Life Program.
The Denver Rescue Mission offers:
- Emergency Services - meals, shelter, clothing, household items, and basic medical care to thousands of people experiencing poverty and homelessness throughout the year.
- Life-Changing, Rehabilitation Program - the New Life Program provides education, life skills training, spiritual and emotional counseling, and strong foundation for a self sufficient-life.
- Transitional and Permanent Housing Solutions - offered through the Family Services program to individuals and families experiencing poverty and homelessness.
The Mission provides over 600,000 meals a year, all made possible by their amazing volunteers. Find out how you can help make a difference.
